We had done a few small projects last year with LAFD using their old logos and had suggested that when they were ready we’d love to help them with their brand refresh.
In December, they contacted us and said they were ready to do it!
In our brand consult, they had said that they already had a way-finding icon that is currently used for all kinds of external signage and was wondering if we could doing something with that since they didn’t have it in the budget to redo everything.
They wanted to keep the colors similar to the old one but were open to some thing brighter and more contemporary.
So here’s what we came up with as well as the process of how we got there.
